Launch Boxes

Chapman Community Church of God is proud to partner with Every Child Columbia County to provide launch boxes for teens and young adults aging out of foster care.  These boxes contain household and personal items, college supplies (if applicable), and a homemade quilt!

There are many ways you can help.
  1. Purchase and donate household items and personal items (towels, pillow cases, dishes, silverware, can opener, other kitchen supplies, toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry soap, dish soap, first aid kits, 40 quart or larger plastic storage bins to put all of the fun stuff in, etc.)
  2. Donate Quilt Supplies.  We are especially in need of twin sized flat sheets for quilt backs and twin sized quilt batting as well as thread and fabric.
  3. Make and donate items. Knitted or crocheted dish cloths, embroidered dish towels or pillowcases, homemade pot holders or anything else that would help a young person just starting out.
  4. Help make quilts.  Cut out fabric squares (5 inch squares work great!), make a quilt top or quilt to donate, or join us at one of our quilt making parties.
